In hair and beauty, customers (normally) tip a person, not a venue. The tip belongs to the stylist, the colourist, the therapist who did the work.

Each stylist gets a personal QR code on a card at their station, on the till receipt, or in a follow-up SMS. The customer scans, picks an amount, taps. The tip lands in the stylist's account.
A POLICY YOU ACTUALLY NEED
Even pure peer-to-peer needs a written policy.
A common surprise: even if your salon uses pure peer-to-peer tipping with no pool at all, you still need a written tipping policy under the Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act 2023 (EATA), and you'll need to consult workers under the Employment Rights Act 2025 (ERA) from October 2026. Tip4 generates the right policy for your model — pure peer-to-peer for single-trade salons, hybrid for mixed-trade, full pool if you go that way — and runs the consultation tooling you need to remain compliant.
